sometimes in life...

sometimes in life you find a special friend
someone who changes your life - just by being part of it
someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop
someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world
someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it..

i found this collage that i made for one of my design assignments at Graceland. the people in the photos are girls who i lived with, breathed with, at Graceland from my house "Shalom". except the one in the large photo in the middle - that's my sister. i put this quote with it because i really liked the quote and cared alot about the people in the photos. They were special friends in my life. it's funny as i look at this now... probably 7 years later... i don't really ever talk to any of them, except my sister.

although at that time in my life, they were special. they did make me laugh. they were there for me. they inspired my life. maybe in some way changed it, even.

it's funny how, in just a few years, things change. how people change. how the people who are important in your life change. how you find out who are your real, life-long, friends forever, family even. who is willing to make the effort to stay in contact, and stick around. who is actually there in the end.

now, i can think of a whole new collage of people who fill this spot in my life.
